If you’re looking for the most up-to-date methods of foot and ankle care delivered by kind, caring podiatrists, look no further than Affiliated Foot & Ankle Center in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Here are some of the latest technologies our board-certified podiatrists can offer.

  • Platelet aggregation therapy. This unique method injects the patient’s own blood, enriched with a higher concentration of healing platelets, to jump-start the healing process.

  • We also use PADnet to detect peripheral arterial disease or PAD. PAD causes reduced blood flow to your lower limbs which can cause lower leg pain, cold feet, and blue toes. For a PADnet test, we inflate pressure cuffs around a patient’s lower limbs and record the blood pressure in the area of the feet and ankles.

  • Traditional x-rays produce a static piece of film, whereas digital x-rays allow us to enlarge the image on the computer screen to get a clear, close up view and find even the smallest bone fracture.

  • X-rays show us your bones, but diagnostic ultrasound lets us see what’s going on with your soft tissue. Where exactly is the inflammation? Are there any tears? There are several advantages to having diagnostic ultrasound on-site: it’s quick, painless, less expensive, and more convenient than sending you out to get an MRI.

  • One of our greatest “technologies” is our physical therapist Valerie Gregory, MSPT, CKTP. Valerie is on staff right here in our office so you don’t have to go to another facility for physical therapy following an injury or surgical procedure. She is a foot and ankle rehabilitation specialist with a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Physical Therapy. She’s also a Certified Kinesio Taping Specialist.

The list goes on: we’ve got laser treatment for fungal toenails, toenail restoration, the very best in specialized shoes for diabetics, and Telehealth appointments via phone, Skype, or FaceTime. And finally, we offer the expertise of board-certified foot and ankle surgeons Dr. Samantha Boyd, Dr. Hal Ornstein, Dr. Dan Phan, and Dr. Joseph Saka.
